Overview

 

Take this quiz to check for color contrast using Paciello's Colour Analyzer Tool. Download Paciello Colour Contrast Analyzer. Once you have downloaded and installed the Colour Contrast Analyser, open it and follow the instructions below to check the color contrast between the text, images, tables, and the document background. The following questions will ask you to determine the readability of specific objects in the PDF Tricky Non-Text Data in Word provided below. 

Use Colour Contrast Analyser

With the Colour Contrast Analyser open:

  1. Use the eye-dropper tool to select colors from the foreground and background elements, or you can select a color from the pull-down menu, or enter hexadecimal values for the colors if you have them.
  2. The tool will automatically assess the color combination and generate a report that includes your WCAG 2.0 status for AA and AAA. You are aiming to achieve Level AA standard. 
  3. You can also choose to include information for color blindness by selecting the option to "Show contrast result for colour blindness".
